In "The Talkatives," I depicted the journey of Kerim, a boy who loses his hearing, portraying him both as a child and later as a successful student who innovates a technical vest for sign language communication. Emphasizing the expressiveness of hands, I carefully illustrated his and his family's progression in learning to sign, using a consistent colour palette suitable for the young audience and the publisher's series.
The artwork transitioned from paper sketches to digital layers in Procreate, and finally to polished images in Photoshop. The first edition sold out in just a week at D&R, one of Turkey’s leading bookstores, under the publication of Zarif Çocuk.
